Is there such a thing? With the number of threads on the subject, it is kind of confusing as to what is working best.

While looking my bike over, I am starting to see more and more signs that it is time to do something about the carbs and I think I want to go the route of a single carb, so what is the best carb to get and which is the best vendor? Same thing I guess for the manifold.

There is no actual "build" sheet yet. I and maybe some helpers will be condensing the info for several of the builds to be easily recreated once a few have been completely ironed out. Dan, jungo, and westgl are getting close to the final products so this should be commencing pretty soon. I understand it's hard to piece things together as it is. It will be no small task to condense to readable builds but it will happen. :laptop:

YA...the several threads going now all seem to have different intakes, carbs, adapter plates, etc. etc.....
Much like the external alternator swap, there are LOTS of different ways to skin this cat!
There does seem to be SOME common issues with the single carb deal, but different approaches to solving those issues, too!
Once the fellers get done playing, and get working, reliable set-ups, it'll be a lot easier to gather the info into one place, with a list of parts/components the WORK... :read: :good:

snip, snip, snip

You summed it up for me Joel. If i have counted all my fingers and toes correctly, there are currently 1,135 replies to the 8 different threads, so how can one be expected to pull anything usefull out of that?

Start reading :smilie_happy:

But seriously, eventually we'll consolidate a lot of the info.
To start, these carb/manifold builds are now in a new separate forum.
