As I was reading through the material regarding regarding single carb conversion, I remember seeing pictures and a discussion of an aluminum plenum welded to the bottom of the type 4. I can't seem to find it again. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Mike

I think you may have misread. The type 4 is a plenum. Some have attached heating to the bottom of them.

there are several .. one of the things we have been finding out here is the need to dial the carb in right ... i just did a icing test today and my bike has no heating at all on it ... when the gas charge is not right ...icing becomes more a issue ....

I believe what you saw was a sealed box like housing welded to the bottom as a hot coolant chamber to warm the plenum to aid in fuel atomization.
I'm not sure we have any pictures of it here, would have to look through the single carb threads and the gallery.
