Your product is a very cool device, but it may not be able to be mounted like that here. My bike is a Standard with a windshield and I am not sure I have enough real estate on my bike, but I like your mount.

Thanks!!! I happen to think so too ... :music:

... and I hate to say it, but you're right, I don't think I could make a Farkle Mount fit your bike either. :salute:

I`m guessing there is a non marring magnetic anchor that can take the place of the screw in anchor should Gerry want to mount it to his tank/shelter?

No chance !!!!!

I will not be responsible for your $700 GPS taking tumble because the magnet didn't hold!!!

Permanent mounted plate only or you void the warranty. Sorry! (blame the lawyers for that one :sensored:)
How about a leash as a failsafe.

Can this product hold a Galaxy Note 3?

Yes ... and no ...

It can hold it, but the Note is too long to fit the sunshade if you want it mounted horizontally.

Sorry.

Can it hold the note vertically with the shield? The shield is what I like the most a about your product

It can, yes. Structurally the Farkle Mount can handle the weight of the device. The problem comes in with the length, whether mounted horizontally or vertically. In the vertical position the device will fit, but the sunshade will need to be tilted slightly 'up'. As I mentioned, the Note 3 doesn't fit the sunshade horizontally.

Hope this answers your question.

I had considered a tether, but ended up with a similar problem and adding another.

First, the tether itself still needed to be secured ... and you would now have a tether to contend with while riding.

... and a tether just looks untidy ... IMO.

In the end I opted for the permanent plate because of the security, but also because it is more aesthetically pleasing with, or without, the mount attached.

Great Question ... please keep them coming!

... and Thanks!!!

Looking at my center handlebar section, is there any chance of a Farkle handlebar mount located there for naked bikes with a windshield?

The mounting plate CAN be adhered using a HEAVY duty double sided tape. I have tested it for many miles and it will work fine ... if you install the tape correctly.

That said, if you CHOOSE to implement this method for attaching your Farkle Mount, I'm afraid that will void my warranty. I can't be responsible for the distraction a failed mounting plate would inevitably cause, much less the tragedy that could easily ensue as a result.

Again, as defined by my attorney. Sorry.

Your bike poses a very interesting challenge for me. I have not had an opportunity to look closely enough at this style to be able to say, definitively, whether there would be enough space between that small "dashboard" like shelter and the windshield. The angle you show makes me think there is not ...

That said, I didn't design the Farkle Mount to fit that style of bike. My target market is more later model year 1200s, and newer. I am working on a plate design that will allow the Farkle Mount to be used elsewhere on the bike (think co-rider usage) ... but that's a ways off yet.

BTW ... I have no problem working with my customers in the event the Farkle Mount doesn't meet their expectations. While I can't replace your dash once you have drilled the holes for the mounting plate, I will be more than happy to refund 100% of your money should you decide it simply will not work on your ride.

One of the reasons I mentioned that location is because I have seen others use a mount on their handlebars right there with either their phone mounted (using the map app) or others have put a GPS there. The GL 1800 has the Nav system built into the same area as my faux tank so those riders are using it there.

Just some ideas.

All (constructive) ideas are welcome!!!

Thanks, I'll need to do some research, but I appreciate the feedback!!

Cheers! :salute:
