I stumble on these cool little add ons to the forum that I just can't pass up doing.

This one has added a post number at the top of each post within a thread.
When clicking on the post number (#1,#2,#3 etc) up pops a highlighted text. That is the direct url link to that specific post.
This makes it easier to refer a poster to a specific post in a multipage thread rather than to the thread in general.




Example:
This is a link to post number 126 by sledge in the "Sunshine= Paint thread using the new "post number link" viewtopic.php?p=6953#p6953
This link can be pasted into posts as well as emails or posts at other sites, or you can simply refer to post number 126 in the Sunshine=Paint thread.
Before, a link to that thread would have been to the first post on that page then your stuck having to read thru all the other posts to find the info you actually wanted to point to like this > viewtopic.php?f=7&t=468&start=120

I'm not sure how I missed this, but that is a great idea! Particularly when the thread goes on for pages (not that we tend to post too much or anything!)
