I took my center stand off my GL1100 to clean up all the rust and crud.

?????? How in the world does one get the spring back in place??????

Please share any secrets you might have on this.
I have already tried putting pennies in the spring and they fall out when I get close to getting the spring on.

I saw someone post to use large(ie thick) washers. If the pennies fall out, wrap the spring and pennies with duct tape to hold them in, then remove tape and pennies, might work?

I believe that the last time I did this is I put the spring on the stand first and then wiggle it in after that.

Coins or washers work, :builder: as well as the generic car brake multi tool, the part for springs, & let it slide on. The washer or coin trick worked easier for me though. :good:

Glad your side stand spring's back in place, & all's right with the world. :good: You guys must be wealthier than me, old washers, or pennies were used instead of nickles. :hihihi:
