Anybody out there have an installation manual for the digital volt meter and thermometer for 82-83 Interstate or Aspencade? Really the only thing I need to know is where the temp probe is supposed to be located.

You maybe might already have the mount there, If not it would be easy to fabricate, just be sure and use an insulator between the capillary and the metal, mine is just a rubber gromet, but yes..anywhere forward of the radiator so you don't pick up engine heat and something not associated with the steering.
Maybe could even zip tie it in a hidden location, just don't tie it directly to metal, use a loop tie first then zip tie to that.

Thanks, any idea where one might find the part number for the grommet?
Not sure it would be in a parts list, it was a hondaline accessory but maybe, short of that the capitallary is the same size as a thermistor and many other temp measuring devices so you may get lucky at a hardware store , there is also rubber tape, looks like electrical tape only thicker and rubber..bought some at the dollar store, a few wraps and instant grommet.
PS, they advertise the tape as for fixing garden hoses/radiator hoses and such.

After looking at all the options I decided to put it in the fairing vent tube, saved drilling another hole and should pick up air going through the fairing when going down the road. Also finished the last of the install of CB, cassette and intercom. They didn't pay the techs enough no matter what it was for putting those in, what a pain.

Easier to get at with the top pocket removed but yes, still tight.
