I pulled the carbs out of my 84 1200 today. Is there any eliminating that emissions work under the carbs? Not gonna be fun putting it all back together. Just curious...

Also, I was looking in the Clymer manual and it mentions a later modification that was added to certain years in the carburetor. 1984 Aspencade is one that it lists for this modification. It is supposed to help out with low RPM ranges. Possibly a change in some jetting and springs for the CVs from Honda, almost like a recall.

Has anyone done this modification and is it worth the trouble? Personally I think the bike ran pretty darn good as it was.
