....and a little tricky to get the Turd out to ride tomorrow.

I thought the Turd had a blown head gasket?

Well...not really. I think it has a small leak, but it is not blown, per se. SMALL puff of steam first start last Friday, but none yesterday or today. Still has oil in the coolant, but no coolant in the oil. It's safe to ride...hell...I rode it like that last year for months! :whistling: :hihihi:

Imma fixin to start a new thread with a bunch of questions for you 1500 guys....there's a few things I learned/discovered today that kind freak me out.... :headscratch:

:thanks: "Pearl Sierra Green" it is...not my favorite, but...no too bad either!

Just so all youse ya-hoos can go ahead and laff it up....this ones for YOU!

At least it's the FRONT, not the rear!

I was curious why you have to wait until getting inspection and tags to ride it. In Cali it's legal to ride for at least 10 days maybe longer as long as you have liability insurance.

Regardless of the tire and lack of reverse I sit here wishing I could find a deal as nice as you now have. Congratulations!

Well Dan...one word....MAMA.... :smilie_happy:
Tags were expired in 2014, not that cops ever look for stuff like that around here on a bike. Plus, the front tire is questionable for daily use. New tire should be here tomorrow....I hope.

Agreed, I wouldn't trust that tire to stay together either.

Questionable? Wow! That is way beyond questionable, but at least it is up front.

It has an oversized windersheild, which is kewl for keeping the airflow smooth, BUT....I keep bangin my dang noggin on it gettin of/off the bike. :head bang:

I've often wondered if a guy would keep hitting his head on those windshields but never asked.

Makes my front tire on Val look really good even though most of my mates keep asking when am I getting a new one. :smilie_happy:

Holy smokes! I just checked in on this thread today. I wouldn't even trust that one to roll vigorously off the center stand!

Got the new tire mounted Friday nite....what a pita that was! Low profile = HARD compound rubber! I finally won that battle, tho.
PO had apparently used some fix-a-flat in that tire.. :sensored: Once the "old" tire was off, it looked otay, EXCEPT for the crack around the bead on one side....the other side was in good shape. Weird.

I still say this thing feels smaller, and lighter than my 1100...took a lot of getting used to yesterday ridin two-up wid Mama. I 'bout had it down by the time we got back home. Mama's happy wid it too. Much more comfy/roomy for her, tho it is a little harder to mount/dismount than the 1100. It's also sooooo much quieter....just the vague whine of the timing belts is about all you can here while it's running. Sweeet!

I'm out today to do an oil change, and see if I can figure out how to get to the air filter to change it too. Then, some spiffin up, and get ready to start ridin it every day until the weather says I cain't. :clapping:
