Hi all,
I'm Mike from Placerville, California. My bike is a 1980 GL1100. It was given to me by a friend who thought all it needed was some carb work. Turns out there was water and rust in the engine so I tore it down and am in the process of rebuilding it. I plan on doing the single carb conversion when I reach that point. I've been studying through the material here on that topic. Wow, what a wealth of info! Looking forward to your help as I continue on the journey.

80 is geared to be a spry bike for as big as it is. Welcome from the frozen rustbelt.

I grew up in the Midwest so I have experience with rough winters. Moved to Nor Cal 9 years ago and have grown to appreciate the winters here. Currently 52 and rain.
