new belts after 28 years. it was time to change them

I always used the 5 year rule of thumb. Most people don't really put a lot of miles on their bike a year.

But 5years/25k miles is a safe thing to do as it' so cheap.

Same with the tires.

thanks for your recomendation, just have to keep in mind or write it down in my calendar to change them in 2019, easy :good:
you change tires after 5 years or 25k miles? i don't know how you ride in the usa but in europe tires never will last 25k miles, if you get 5 to 8k miles you're a happy rider and you are slower than most. do you still have low speed limits over there on highways and freeways?
