No...not a brain....but thanks for askin. :Doh2:
While Mama & I were out "antiquing" this weekend, I found a really nice GL1000 Factory Service Manual...for $11! Don't need it, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have one, if for nothing other than my own curiosity. There was also a new GL1800 factory manual there, but it was a bit more 'spensive($50), so I left it right where it was. The pics in this one are crystal clear, compared to the pics in a Clymer/Haynes manual, or even the ones here in the gallery.
I think this was the first time I had ever seen any Goldwing related stuff on our weekend jaunts.

Oh yeah...inside this manual was a receipt from a former local Honda dealer for a rear tire, and installation. '75 model bike, with 8000 miles....and it's dated '76. Tire was $40, installation was $9....

Clearly you sent yourself this book from an alternate reality just to bust your b*lls. :smilie_happy: I wonder how long that tire lasted for alternate reality Joel?

I like to obtain as much data (docs) as I can, electronic and printed from as many publishers as I can. Sometimes things can be easier to comprehend in one over the other.

I've added to since that pic was taken (note to self, stay off eBay and Craigslist.) Like you, I'm frugal and am averaging ~$13.50 each over ~8 years of collecting.

I really thought you were going to write about a flat tire... :hihihi:
:smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: (Poor guy can't get a break around here......) :hihihi:

BTW Joel, don't let your current ride know that your reading a 1000 manual......might start thinkin your gonna replace her (and then she'll suddenly get a flat!) :smilie_happy:

I feel your tire pain Joel, Red needs a new rear and I thought that I hardly rode it! Nice find on the manual :good:
