What a week it has been but I am finally out of the old home , been paid and now in Victorville, I have to say I love the area so far, not many stoplights and the speed limits are very liberal, kinda makes up for the distance you have to travel to get someplace...starting to look for a truck, found a diesel dodge I like it has a manual transmission but the price seems high..any feedback on it would be appreciated. here`s a link.

Seemed a little high to me too, love the old style Dodges though, need to go buy some reading glasses, mine are packed away and I don't know where.

IF(big IF  ) the interior is in good shape, the price is not really that bad...at least for around this part of the country. Might be a little steep in your part, tho, idano. Body looks to be in decent condition....

You're in good riding country. Hesperia should have almost anything you need, given how it has expanded in the last few years.

Plan to ride up to Big Bear this coming summer quite often. You can go from hellishly hot to mountain cool in less than 30 minutes.

Overall, Hesperia/Victorville is a good place to be.

Truck wise speaking that price is probably inline for California.
Shitload of miles on it though. I don't know how well Dodge diesels of that era hold up.
I was thinking that too, seen an ad where someone was looking for one with under 250K..wondering if something happens after 250K or if like the guys ad says will go 600K..seen some newer 1998-01 model dually Dodge diesels but all with automatics for around the same price, less miles too but an auto or dually is not what I want.

I was thinking that the manual diesel combo would be fairly rare so that normally means that is reflected in the price.

I had a 3/4 ton extended cab of about that year. 318 powered. I liked it a lot.
Love the old Dodge trucks, here's another one I have been thinking of buying but 456 gears..don't know how fast I could go but guessing 50MPH ..8-3/4 could change the gearing and disconnect the front drive shaft..It has it all except gearing.

Could just put on bigger tires. Mine had the extended cab with the tiny jump seats that faced the middle. It was a very comfortable truck but at 11mpg it had to go.
