They are a beast and sound great but I would rather have a Honda 6cyl.

That's why we both have Valks. Still might get a little more lean from a V6.

The mechanic at my dealer said he rode one once. ONCE! He was unnerved by the torque when he revved it up a bit and it rocked him a bit sideways in doing so. The other thing he said that was spooky was the rear tire breaking loose on him when he goosed it a bit at 40 mph went a bit sideways. He's ridden all his life and loves the bike mechanically but it's just too much for him. I thought about getting one once but it's too tall for me and the kickstand is way to out front for me too. I had to almost get off the bike to put the stand down. Some folks love them though. Their resale isn't great I've heard. But if you have to have one only one thing will make you happy, getting one!

Lots of bikes will break loose and get squirrelly. I've had a few of them. Heck, the Valkyrie will try and misbehave if you're not careful. I always kind of liked the feel of the back end floating sideways under throttle. Best way in the world to make a statement.

But, with the Rocket, it's the danged weight of the machine that's doing it that's spooky. I have a friend who rides one. He's pretty respectful of the thing and won't really flog it. Too bad, while I know it's way stouter than the Valk, it runs out of steam pretty quickly in the RPM band, so I'm not sure how much difference all that power makes in the real world. Still, a beast of the first order.

The Rocket is a nice bike ...Fast ! lots of torque...Looks awesome (Just on one side) no exhaust on left side , Also a Heavy Bike . The GL 1500 6 banger Goldwing Boxer motor is positioned very low to the ground for center gravity ... Not so Top heavy like the Rocket , My friends Rocket has had a Valve cover leak and they have had Transmission problems also , Safe to say on this Goldwing site , Buy a Wing or Gl 1500 Valkyrie Hot Rod Wing and enjoy for many years ..Good luck on your decision

One of my mates owned one from new and he loved it apart from when the ignition switch failed at 27k klms and left him stranded on the side of the freeway. He now rides a Road King.

Here's another YELLOW motorcycle I sold in 2015. Speaking of breaking the back end loose...
(It was not stock, was an adrenaline machine and I miss it)
