He must've read the Clymer manual! Or is it the factory manual that says to remove the engine in order to replace the starter...either way, why is the rear cover loose? Did he drop the starter gear into the case? There's an interesting story here... I'd probably give him $500 for it if I was close by.

Eggzactlee right, I see such blunders on CL all the time.
 
looks like some of my ( Small ) jobs...... was gonna be a small job till I start on it , then , this is bad, and that might need a little work , and in the End......... Everything has to be worked on...... :smilie_happy:
