I have to caution about highway speed with that load. I loaded my '82 1100 up like that to go camping and I ended up with high speed wobble over 75 MPH because of the load.

Gerry I still think some of your problems were caused by that square suitcase -that darn thing was nothing more than a BIG air damn. When I was loaded for my trip to North Carolina, I had even more stuff on by bike than I did for the trip out to Joe's (if that was even possible) and I still had none of the problems you had. I think it was because of the round bags I used over the the sharp corners and flat surfaces of a suit case.

Gerry I still think some of your problems were caused by that square suitcase -that darn thing was nothing more than a BIG air damn.

Could be......except I sat in front of the suitcase and created an even BIGGER air dam!! :smilie_happy: (Told ya, Honda cited me for sitting on the bike by myself causing an overloaded condition!) :hihihi:

You have large rounded edges unlike the suitcase.
