#1 on the list for me is Glacier National Park's Going to the Sun Road. There are too many u-tube videos to pick just one that does that road any justice, but this one is just a bike and the wind...

On my bucket list this season is a back way military road to Big Sur....It's about 300 miles from home. Probably camp over one night.
There is a video of 2 guys riding it somewhere on UTube.

Dan, that would be Nacimiento Ferguson rd. Pick it up in Fort Hunter Liggett and head to to the coast. Very tight and dappled sunlight make some turns disappear, but the views from the top heading down to the coast are amazing.

Are you going to take the KLR?

Yes.
Would be nice to have a riding partner but if that doesn't come together I'd go alone. The route looks to be mostly if not all asphalt. What do you think skiri, is this a trip you might want to do?

I would like to but I don't have a dual purpose bike (I can call CL125A dual purpose but..)
Will XS750 with Vetter fairing do it?

I did this one years ago pulling a 5th Wheel. I've often thought I'd like to do it on a motorcycle - but always seem to be going in a different direction. A buddy and I have been mulling a camping excursion into southern Utah this fall. That might just be the time to finally do it!
