after having spent a ton of money on Metzlers in the past on my HD and Victory, I have grown to like these Shinkos.

+1 on the Shinkos
I still love my Metzlers on the sports bike but the Lasertechs on the Rats Nest were not good.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but be careful with those Shinko 712's if you are running them on a full dress version. They are running right at the load capacity and may wear out sooner than expected... When I had them on my 1100 when it was configured as a bagger, I had no problem. When I put the trunk and additional metal on the rear end and started towing a trailer, my mileage reduced significantly. I switched to the Tourmaster 230's because they are rated for a higher weight and got the mileage back. Now I have a car tire on the rear of the 87 and mileage is no longer an issue.

Thanks for the heads up :good: I do have my GL1100 naked! I will go with the 230's next time!

I love the A230s, even running one on the front of Val.

Bit of work finished today. Fabricated fairing and installed rebuilt rear brake set up.

What did you make the fairing from? Looking good
It was made from a stamped tank half that painters use for demo or displays.

Nice look. I hope that radiator guard lets in enough air for cooling.

. Me too. I have seen factory Honda grills that allowed even less. We will see.

Changed handle bars. Others had way too thick powder coat. Just wasn’t happy with all the removal areas. Radiator shroud done. I have another set of sides painted up to match frame. No holes.
