After my ride to Joe's my seal is leaking to the point that I need to change it soon. I have heard they are not hard to replace, so my question is simple: what does it take to get the old seal out? Looking at it I can see that I am going to be removing a lot of stuff to get to it, but that's all right: done it before. I'm also going to be changing the valve cover/bolt gaskets at the same time because it is time to get rid of the oil drips on my shoes. My only real concern is getting that old shifter shaft seal out...

Next question....

Is item # 28 the correct seal? I wish these parts diagrams gave a better descrpition than just "Oil Seal 14x28x7." Every diagram I see is just like this one, so I want to make sure I don't need anything else.
