this might be of no value, but, the high speed jets on my 85 wing use a combination of low and high speed jets below 4k rpm. Above that number it is solely high speed jets. Based on that, i would be looking into the speed jets curcuit. Of course i could be way off base. Good luck with your chase...
After cleaning the carbs in a ultra sonic cleaner, I use a water pic teeth cleaner to shoot water though all the jets to verify they are clean and flowing ok

My two cents. Find someone with a ultrasonic machine, or buy one. They are relatively inexpensive. If you are only putting one carb in at a time, a small unit will do. If you buy one use deionized water for best results. Hope this helps
If you look up milwaukeecycleparts on ebay to you find they have one for sale. I think there was a company that preceded kuryhakn? Spelling that actually sold them. In any event you can call a place called Dr.Mudspringers in Mound Minnesota at (763) 390-3516. They will have an answer
Years ago I learned a tip for cable lubrication. Take off the end that is highest on the bike. Take a baggie and cut off just enough of the bottom corner to get the cable though. Run the cable about 1/2 to 1 inch above the bottom of the baggie. I use tape to secure the baggie to the cable...
Hey Tim. Welcome to the group. I own a 85 and have since it came out of the crate. It was made with some shortfalls. The electrical output is poor. They tend to burn up the stator. They have a know issue with the stator connector. They get hot and fail. The fix is to take the connector...
Rednaxs60, thank you so much. I was hoping that someone had a electrical troubleshooting manual. I will put the knowledge to good use and get my wing back togther.
Indeed I agree pidjones. Then look at the second picture, which comes from the same manual. It looks to state that 1-4 go together and 2-3 go together. Kind like wearing watches that tell different times. Follow instructions or wiring diagram seems to be the ?
I have a 85 gl1200i. It is not been on the road for sometime. I am attaching 2 pics from the factory service manual i have. the picture with the text is telling me that the coils should be connected as follows i believe. Port/Left side of the bike should have coil wires connected to cylinders...
What does the inside of the tank look like? Being a bit of a ocd person myself, I get the time and effort to make the outside look nice, but a tank rusted to smit on the inside will run you though the mill in fuel troubles.
