Out of frustration with ignition and carb issues I sold the bike. I ride motorcycles as a hobby and passion I dont repair them.

Some of the Ebay pricing on seats is insane. $250 and up. No motivated to buy. I'll keep looking.

These threads do not address using a single motorcycle carb. Just automobile carbs. Has it been done? If I keep the bike that's my plan. A 36 or 38mm Mikuni motorcycle carb runs about $150-$175 on Ebay.

You should PM Motowalt found with the cool Bike of The Year. He painted his engine and it came out great. Find out what he used.

Took her out today and the difference is amazing. Before the throttle response was poor, sluggish. Now it's like a new bike. I had to restrain myself. The 5 mile trip from my house to the freeway is a bikers dream. Roller coaster asphalt. I enjoyed every bit of it.

You got that right. I have read some real sorrowful stories here. I know some of the guys here really love their bikes but there is a cost limit for me. now if I can just find the two screws that hold the points cover on. the heck with them I'll ride with out them. Happy Trails guys :cool:

Ok guys here's the update. I got her running. When I put the points back in I put the yellow wire in the right point when I should have put the blue wire on the right point. Why did I mess that up? The wiring diagram in the owners manual indicates the yellow wire should be on the right. I had...
