    Didn't try boiling it but when I heated it I took an L shaped pick and tried to push it out. I was never able to move it. Who ever broke it off must of really tightened it down hard.

    Thanks guy's.....I tried heating the carb body and had no luck. If there was away to get a straight shot at the broken needle I could probably get it loose but because there is a slight taper to the needle it has to come out through the threaded end and there is just no way to get any thing on...

    OK just got back from vacation, tried to put the 1000 tank in just before I left. In a pinch you can make it work buy building a bracket to be able to bolt the top bolt in but the tank will not fit between the frame rails with out some major hammer work on the tank. It's just too wide to go in...

    It's pretty bad. The pickup tube is stopped up and the inside looks like the moon and I bet if it was clean there would be some holes.......I'm going to try to put the 1000 tank in just to prove to myself it won't work.....it's free and if I can make it work then great.....at least we will know...

    It looks like the filler may be slightly taller it is definitely smaller in diameter and will take another cap.......I haven't tried to put it in yet but it is the same shape as the old tank, just as if its a smaller scale. I think I am going to have to fab up a longer extension for the bracket...
