And I said that all wrong. The rotor has magnets and spins with the engine. The stator is
fixed in the engine cover. I think that's what I meant to say.

Ansimp, I'm trying to understand here. If I have it right the ac current is produced by the magnets
on the stator passing by the coils. Wouldn't it be creating current any time the engine is turning?
The system would shunt to ground and the benefit is the rr not operating continuously and...

Keep cleaning with the cable and after each time spray with compressed air or aerosol carb
cleaner. I've cleaned a couple of pretty nasty ones this way. Once you get a flow thru to the

Good deal, I am guilty of running a little marvel mystery oil in the gas.
To my thinking it helps lube the carbs and valves and should help out these
older motors.
Go put some miles on it and it should run even better.
