    Oh look! Progressive springs!

If you were at the PS site, you have the part number. I'd be confident they know their stuff better than a retailer. They fit a LOT of bikes with that one part number.

    1100 Engine Bearing Question

Why wouldn't the squirt holes be under pressure, and squirting all the time, since the bearings are?

    Carbs

Well, yeah. You won't achieve the energy savings if you don't actually do it. I certainly notice a consumption increase from 80 km to 115 km/hr, and I'm sure I can't be alone. Well, there you go.

    Problem after Neon coil/relay mod

Addendum: 330 km's on 16.1 litres. 49 MPG (US), 59 MPG (IMP), 4.8L/100 km. Yeah, that's working fine. No thunder without lightning!

A topic about main and rod bearings

On a normal engine I wouldn't even consider reusing those bearings...or any bearing, for that matter, that had any sign of wear. Engine rebuilds are labour intensive, and (save for pistons) parts cheap. For the amoumt of work involved in making it right, go for new wear parts. That crank will...

    Need some carb advice

I believe that is GL1000's that have the rubber plug. I wouldn't be concerned about shooting some carb cleaner to clean it off. It's a straight shot into the combustion chamber from there.

But you wouldn't try to thread one into the other. Anyways, a bit more research shows the Honda mirror is 10mm thread.

That's what the adapter's previously posted about are designed to do. 5/16's (Harley) to 10? or is it 8? mm (Honda)

    Oil cooled?

To what end? Complication for it's own sake? Or something else?

    mirror thread help

What sizes are you working with? Wouldn't it be a lot easier just to buy an adapter? They're quite common, and cheap. https://www.cruisercustomizing.com/drag-specialties-mirror-adapters-for-metric-cruisers-each/part/DS-302148

    Oil cooled?

While my most recent past ride (1100 Suzi Katana) is oil cooled, it doesn't have a separate cooling jacket for oil, it has a big honkin' oil cooler for the lubricating oil. So the "coolant" is directly on the bearing surfaces, and on the backs of the pistons, so it pulls the heat directly from...
