The tach was crying like a baby...worse when the weather was cold. I didn't relish the idea of buying another 40 year old tach from eBay. I drilled a small hole in the side of the tach, at about the 4 o-clock position down near the chrome. Sprayed some silicon lube inside, moving the nozzle...
Listing Slab's 98 Valk for Hanni. 62K miles. Not on the road since 18. Starts and runs fine. I took it up the road a couple of times but the rear tire leaks and has cracks in the sidewall...buyer WILL NOT be riding it home! There's also a windshield (not pictured) that goes with it when I...
I need a RIGHT side saddlebag lid for an 1100....wineberry color. If I could get a lid in another color with this style rack on it i could do a repaint
One of my fork seals is leaking and the forks no longer hold air. I'm planning on taking care of this before the riding season. What parts am i likely to need for the job? ...don't need parts numbers...I can look them up. Thanks
For those who ride in the colder weather....I've been using these for a couple of years. They definitely help keep some of the wind off of your hands. They bolt onto the mirror mount. On my 1100 I didn't need to use any of the extra bracketry that is included. With a stock windshield they...
I'm helping Slabghost's widow sell off his parts and bikes. This is a brand new C5 ignition including programmer..according to Paul at C5 the only thing not there is the adapter for whichever specific model you want to install it on. Vince paid about $700 for this setup.... you can have it for...
I'm helping Vince's (slabghost) widow clear out his parts and bikes. A pair of new, unpainted steel engine covers for a GL 1100. Asking $75. I ask your patience as the parts are 40 miles away from me & I may need a bit of time to retrieve them and ship.
I'm helping Vince's (slabghost) widow clear out his parts and bikes. Here's a Bates Ride-off stand in decent shape for a GL 1000. Asking $100. I ask your patience as the parts are 40 miles away from me & I may need a bit of time to retrieve them and ship.
I need to rebuild or replace the shocks on my 1100. They don't hold air and the springs are absolutely shot. I haven't decided which way to go yet but if i replace them I was wondering if the 1200 shocks will be a bolt on swap....I'd like to get the extra height with the longer shocks. Thanks!
What's the best method for chopping a windshield? I'm planning on cutting down my old stock 1100 windshield for use when the weather's hot. Any photos of any that you cut down?.....I have a patten traced out but haven't started cutting yet so it's subject to change. Not sure when I'll get...
I've got a leak on #3 carb at the accelerator pump rod...when you twist the grip gas is squirting upward from around the rod. Bad diaphragm? I've got other work planned for over the winter and was hoping to not have to pull the carbs (83 Interstate w/33k miles). Is it possible to change the...
I bought my first wing, an 83 Interstate, late last year. I ordered a manual (used) through Amazon and was sent the wrong one...this one only covers up to 82. I'm wondering if i should bother to send it back... I know of a few differences like the linked brakes, tranny ratios etc.... Are...
Wondering who belongs to a motorcycle club....either RC or MC. I'm currently secretary of the WesternPaRiders. We got the club up and running last season and got 3 group rides in before the weather went bad. Our basic format is to meet & ride a few hours to a specific destination, grab a bite...
