That's actually the test given in the factory shop manual. Yea, I did not solder these ... I do sometimes take the insulated crimp type fittings and remove the plastic insulation from the bottom of the fitting, then solder the wire to that with out crimping or a very slight crimp if needed then finish with a bit of heat shrink ... They look so much...

I had to swap the top triple tree to an '82 to fit the new gauge cluster, then install an older fuel pump so I can run the mechanical tach and use an older mechanical speedo drive for the cable driven speedo ... and add all that wiring mess on top, I think if...

Sweet .... That's just what I did and it worked... So, now I have an analog gauge cluster grafted on my aspy where the digital dash was and everything that is needed works .... It might look like a crazy nightmare, but I am so freaking happy ... Finally got the front end wiring straighten...
