Did 1980 gl1100 have bank angle sensor or tilt over sensor.

It is 1986 gl1200a frame, the engine is a 1980. + on clutch out of 1200 also hydraulic clutch.

thanks for reply. Normally I would find a 1200 engine for bike but I already have 1100 engine and its just sitting taking up space.

I have a good 1100 engine and decent gl1200a with engine that knocks. Not worth spending money to buy engine so thinking about swaping engines out.

Just wondering how much trouble it would be to put gl1100 engine on gl1200 frame. I know clutch and driveshaft is different.

Just thought I would update.. After a couple of rides bike running great. I did a few more small adjustments on throttle adjustment sensor and I am very pleased with bike. It run smooth now and has a lot more power. I don't know why this effected bike so much but it did.

I wanted to update this subject on fuel injection incase someone else has a problem with their ltd stalling on a hill. I was so discussed at fuel injection that I was going to change it to carb. Over the weekend I was testing some sensors and found the throotle control sensor wasn't within...

Not sure about neutral safety switch but I will look into that, And it sure is a nightmare. With all the help and support from this forum I'm thinking I might get this fuel injection mess figured out. I have another project for today but will be back on this tomorrow. Thank again for all help.

1980 gl1200

No I don't get any codes. I took plugs out and poured trans fluid on top pistons thought I would let sit for couple days I thought possible rings stuck. I rode bike about 200 miles and it run good except in first gear when I start up driveway, it pulls it at about 5 miles per hour wide open.
