How much should I ask for my gl1100?

When I listed all the improvements over the years I was amazed. I am sure glad to be down to one bike now though. A 2011 KLR650 set up for adventure touring. Already hit the 2 eastern corners of the US, and planing on doing the 2 western corners this year possibly.

How much should I ask for my gl1100?

It has been sold. I was fully honest with the buyer and he was OK with working on the front end. We worked out a fair deal and both are happy. Thanks for the help.

How much should I ask for my gl1100?

Fixing the bike has crossed my mind. I would be willing to accept less money the way it is though. I am trying to decide how much it is worth the way it is and how to word it. Yes I am too honest. Thanks for all the feedback.

How much should I ask for my gl1100?

Thanks for the help, I changed my craiglist ad. Going to take some more photos I am trying to decide what to do about the front end. The main problem is that the older style stock front end is to light for the loaded bike anyway. I wish I would have bought an 82 that had the heaver duty front...

How much should I ask for my gl1100?

Thanks for the replys fellas, I dropped the price to 2000. I looked on ebay and many good serviceable wings can be had for less than $1000 sad but that is reality. It was fun while it lasted.

    1981 GL1100 Standard for sale

I decided to keep it for a while, maybe make a naked wing out of it. That is the way it was designed anyway. I never really liked all those add ons in the first place. I started it up today. Started right up after 2 years. I changed the oil and filter and turns out the radiator leak was just a...

Leaking progressive 416 air shocks. Changing seal idea.

I cannot recall a spring clip on the guide bushing. My guide bushing is just a piece of plastic.

Leaking progressive 416 air shocks. Changing seal idea.

Got all the seals in and the shocks have been holding air for several hundred miles now. No more complaints from the wife. Riding peacefully now.

    Looking for new seat advice.

I am here to report the seat is really nice. Great back support and plenty of room for my wife to move around in the back. We can ride for hours now with a lot less fatigue than the old seat. I would recommend it highly.

I was thinking maybe somebody holding the back of the cam in with a stick while I removed the holder and switched the shafts.

need help figuring out motor tapping noise

I see what you are saying now, yes all ports face inward. In other words the oil is being ejected at the point on the shaft subject to the most load which is the side of the shaft facing the engine.

need help figuring out motor tapping noise

The shaft I have right in front of me has 4 oil ports in a line. It is the only way I can see that the shafts can be interchanged from top to bottom and vice versa and keep the lubrication.

need help figuring out motor tapping noise

I see now. I was confused on the oil port. I see that there are oil ports at both locations. I was thinking that there was only two oil ports per shaft. not 4.
