Chevy Corvair 4 barrel Custom made Carburator Manifold for any 1960s model engine that has the 140 dual Carb heads. This was made for me from the McCrae Shop in Lemon Grove, SoCal. This has the carb pre-heat feature as seen. I haven't been able to use it and it's brand new. It requires only a flexible rubber hose for each intake and the Corvair style Carb base plate adaptor tubes . Please see my other Corvair parts for sale. Buy with confidence as this is good to make your car perform without worry of adjustment to four separate Carbs!

I always thought the corvair motors were flat six's. Interesting.
The listing says..

Maybe this is not for a corvair?

That's for a Corvair even though they were sixes.
So how da heck did they get intake to the 3rd cylinder on each side?

i'm guessing a rail setup TT

The Corvair is a 164 cubic inch flat 6-cylinder. The intake manifolds are intergal with the heads, and have openings for the carbs. Most had a single carb per head, but the 140 HP version had 4 carbs. There is a vacuum balance pipe between the 2 heads, so synchronizing wasn't too difficult. I loved my Corvairs back in the day! Too expensive now!

I had a sand rail with the 4-barrel setup on a 140 HP engine - it was awesome! I miss those days...

what about the dual 4 barrel 401 nailhead,, ? would those b way to big? if you could even find one,, they were specific to that engine only. (one of the two carbs were built special only for that engine)

My Corvair-powered sand rail, back in '77. Street legal, and a screamer! Rochester 4-barrel carb, racing cam, high-compression pistons...and stock mufflers, so she was quiet. Those were the days...

My sister, her boyfriend, and I were giving some kind of salute, I don't remember what for...
