Here is a recent set of GL1000 carbs we did for this customer.
I believe that he is pretty satisfied with his performance.

Scroll down a bit to see it and stay a while if you would like to see a few pics of a Pre Production Prototype unit GL1-1000007 from Germany.

That bike sounds great!

~O~

I had mentioned that a little quicker start and the sound would have been even better and even faster.
Found out that traffic in that area made it not possible to do.

I hate it when traffic gets in the way!

Me too. But "pick the right time to play" I always say, right??

Pete, pardon the off topic but I have some carb noob questions(if you don't mind that is). As I'm sure you are aware we do a lot of SCC stuff here. Since you are a specialist in the business of carb rehabilitation, how often do you come across racks that are sent to you that are just too far gone? Is there even such a thing? I often hear this part of those parts just wear out, parts that aren't included in any rebuild kit, do you finfd this to be the case?

Just very curious,

Great question.
Not many become a throw away case. I have seen GL1000 jet towers so eroded that the orings would not seal. These cases are rare though.
We have hundreds of spare bodies and parts on hand to help our customers get their rides back on the road.
It has been a lot of satisfaction for Chris and I to be able to help folks to ride and enjoy their Wings.
