Maurice was up for a ride to see Gary’s place and check out his other bikes and this was the first opportunity since we met him at Canungra on our last VJMC ride. Maurice rode over from where he is staying west of Brisbane and met me at Logan Village. We stopped off for breakfast at the new Maccas in Yarrabilba before heading up Tambourine Mountain.
A quick trip up the mountain which I managed to drag the right peg on Val which was a first for me (maybe I finally fell over onto the sidewall of my rear darkside). It was good to finally get back to see Gary and his beautiful bikes again and have Maurice along for the shared experience.
Gary’s immaculate low mileage super original 76 Gl1000
I really wanted to get a meat pie from my favourite bakery but as we were trying to beat the storm coming through I only had time for a quick photo.
We just made it back down to Maccas before the rain came through so we had some food and coffee while we waited for it to fine up.
Suns out and time for us to head home

Neither did we Joe except when the sun was shinning. :smilie_happy:
It is so cool that through CGW I met Maurice. :good:
I am glad that he built his camper/Motorhome and has travelled all this way up my neighbourhood and we have had the opportunity to ride together. I hope that we manage to ride together many more times in the future.

Great ride and report, Tony. At Gary's that two-tone red 1000 sure looks nice. Any photos of that one? Like Joe, I'd love to ride that area myself. Although I have to confess, it looks pretty much like urban America. We've become homogenized! (Except you don't see to many wallaby signs around here).
