Hey! Came across a link to a manufacturer of motorcycle paints and they sell all of the original Honda colors and they can be sent for air sprayers OR rattle can!! Here is a link to the site as well as my '82 color.....Cosmo Black Metallic!

Yeah, I found the same link thru google when I was looking for Candy Blue for my next project (1968 CL125A twin) but @ $80 a can, I opted for model car paint @ $5 per 3 oz.

I am always cheap. :hihihi:

I'm seriously considering a can of '82 Wineberry Red for touch-ups, and for the front fender. I can't find it anywhere else...

The '83 is black, so it's easy.
I thought there was a duplicolor in wineberry that is a near if not exact match? I used to have a link to it,. For a fender It might be all you need, It is deteached away from the other colors so even a slight mis match wouldnt be noticed.
I was looking at the price and it doesnt include the primer, or clear..Compatability may be an issue if you use another base or clearcoat. Here are some cheapr options for candy wineberry

Some good replies! Keep em coming! I did look up the other links and they do not carry the '82 Cosmo Black Metallic. I suppose I could use any black, but I really like the OEM color!

As for the high price: a couple of years ago I resprayed my wife's Suzuki GS400 metallic red. A half pint of just the red base coat was over $100 for a half pint. That doesn't include the reducer or clearcoat. Just a regular low metallic enamel, not any of the new water-based stuff. For someone wanting to do a full Goldwing, I would guess you're looking at $300-$400. The rattle can doesn't look so bad compared to that if the paint is good quality and the spray lays down well.

I have used Colorrite for paint on my 1500. The trunk was broken out on the bottom, it looked like someone had tried to lift it with the trunk. Anyway, I picked up a used trunk, not the same color, so I had to re-paint it. The bike is Pearl Sierra Green and nothing I could find locally even came close. One spray can ($33.95 I think) plus hazmat shipping, $12, was more than enough and it matched perfectly. I let it cure thoroughly for 60 days and then cleared it and it turned out great. It sounds expensive but this stuff isn't your basic Krylon. It is actually automotive acrylic which is very expensive. Some automotive reds (reds are the most expensive) can be over $1000 a gallon.
