Hello fello GL fans. I thought I did this here already, but apparently not. Too many forums to keep track of. My name is Mike, I am a custom painter by profession, bike builder/beer drinker by evening. https://www.mikelearn.com I have been building a 75 Gl1000 for the past 6 months. 18k miles. Dual Weber set up. Just now starting the assembly.

Welcome from Oz. +1 on the painting and I also like the looks of your rear shocks. :good: :salute:

Welcome to The Forum and enjoy! I hope you post the progress of your project because it's looking good so far. Do you have the before pics?

Mike, welcome to the site from New Jersey! :clapping:

I am trying to get my '82 Standard repainted back to the Honda OEM Cosmos Black Metallic. I have all new decals/pinstripes and emblems, just need to paint. I, unfortunately, am not a painter.

Thanks guys. Here is a shot of the bike when it rolled in.

Cool bike, thanks for the b4 :)
+1 :good:

Nice paint job, clever use of a V-Rod headlight by the way, welcome to the addict house!

Welcome to Classics! Do the holes is the side covers serve a purpose, or is it just for looks? Oh yeah... nice work!

More for looks.

Glad your here. I love the rear shocks. Especially the eccentric cam adjustment on the bottom. Are they standard for that year as I'm not that familiar with these.
