I am David Legg, 60 years young and currently a college student due to the factory where I worked moving to mexico.
I have owned several goldwings of the 1000 CC type, Back in the day I had a 78 that I rode all over Texas and Louisiana.
Now I live in central Kentucky and have a 77 and a 79. The 79 I plan to use for a three wheeler project similar to this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ll0KR3qAiQ
The 77 is a barn find I bought last year with 23000 miles and NO carburetors.
A couple of weeks ago I adapted this carburetor to the 79 https://www.ebay.com/itm/302793186503?V ... 2793186503
and it runs great right out of the box, I have a youtube video here

The 77 is so clean and complete I am just going to get git running and ride it. I did a compression check on it and only had one good cylinder so I have the heads off and am lapping the valves and will soon make another single carb manifold for it.

My shop tools include a mill and a lathe so making stuff is fun to me. I also have a homemade bike lift I made last year

I have heard a lot of good things about this forum so I thought I would join and check it out.
Thanks and God Bless
