found it on CL,it wasent all together,showed 40,000,was told it ran,bought it anyways,gave $600

Welcome to the forum, I see you still have the shin knockers(engine guards) on it., they re designed them in 83-83 models, if they do get to ya you can get later models and they fit no trouble. Hard to tell how it sounds on my laptop, If it is running well then enjoy it..no need to change the carbs.
 
Clean looking ride - Nice score!

Looks like Jeff beat me to my suggestion... look for a set of 83 crash guards and they will allow multiple places to mount highway pegs.
