I have trouble with posting quotes. When I highlight the section I want to quote, the entire post ends up being quoted. I know I am doing something wrong. There must be a correct procedure.

Also, I am still having trouble imbedding youtube videos. Can we have a step by step procedure that explains how to do this?

I just spent 20 minutes typing in a response, and then promptly cleared it out when I wanted to preview it.... :head bang: :head bang: :head bang: :Awe:

Anyway....use the Image button at the bottom of the post you want to quote. Then you can highlight/delet any text you don't want in the quote.
If you want to quote something from another thread, or even an e-mail, just add [
quote] to the front of the text, and [
/quote] to the end of the text...just leave out the spaces I used here after the [

On the youtube, say, for instance, the video link address is http://youtube.watchthisstuff/video (do NOT click on this link!!)
What you do is add [video] to the front of that link text, and then add [/video] at the end of the link text..
So it would look like
Code:
[video]http://youtube.watchthisstuff/video[/video]

HTH

Another way (which is how I learnt how to do it) is click the quote button on a post that someone else did what you want to do and look for the code (brackets [ ] ) and copy how they did it.

Here's a link to a tutorial made by the forum software creators.
It's hard to improve on how well they explain it.

That definiately helps Dan. Can you post this in the tips and tricks or somewhere as a sticky so that others can use it for reference?

I'm no longer supporting tapatalk now that they no longer have a free app for my phone.
The plugin will remain in place on the forum but I'm not going to give them $3 so I can troubleshoot any problems, sorry.

To keep the continuity of the posts that have images in them that are stored here, only Mods or Admin can delete images from the albums. If you need something deleted just holler at one of us and we'll take care of it for ya.
This system keeps members from deleting images(accidentally or otherwise) that are posted into threads, and, if deleted, can sometimes make the tech discussion a little baffling. :good:
