Bought another 84 motor that I can use as a parts bin when I begin to rebuild my original 84 Standard motor.

Craigslist is a wonderful thing. I am away from home for deer camp and luckily, the motor is 10 miles away from camp but 220 miles away from home.

Curious about the motor cost? Were you able to hear it run before you bought it?

Multi-tasking Tony! It's nice to have cell coverage in the mountains. Makes me sounder what we did years ago.

Nothing actually, but I've been reading and re-reading the Ol Sparky build thread on NGW. It's inspiring me, I think I could do that! That would end my confusion on what to do with the '83 "parts" bike.

Does planning to do something count? I'm planning to craft covers for the top of the air shocks on the trike. They rise about 3" above the body and keep me from mounting the trunk. I need the trunk to mount the license plate light.

I have been busy taking care of family and then my right knee gave out. Frustrating! My poor slug has been sitting out under cover in the weather for a few months now not getting ridden. Temps were 20 degrees yesterday so I thought I had better check the antifreeze and battery charge. Out of curiosity, I pulled the choke and hit the starter and she fired right up! :yahoo:

I couldn't do much more than let her run til warmed up and listen. What a great sound on a beautiful, cold winter day!

Well mine isn't a Wing but it is a GL1500. After new years, I will be changing all the carb springs from CT to IS, that will give me a bit more throttle kick. I did take the bike apart this winter and now its being put back together.

Hmmm ... Speaking of which, I have some work to do this weekend on my not-a-Goldwing GL1500. I'm going to add some supplemental lighting out back. Will report.
What you can do like I did is, get front flashers and install in the back that way you park and flasher . I did paint the yellow lens with clear red model lacquer.

It’s a GoldWing first and a Valkyrie second.
My theory is that they are all GLs. :clapping:

Where's The snow? -24 deg C and having the bike out in the snow with the sun shining is always good. Thought I'd complement your picture with mine.

Cheers
