Btw it should be there according to the Postal person at the counter NLT Tuesday seems slow but got it sent out on Friday before I left for Missouri.

Ballast resistors need to be mounted where they can get some airflow. Other than that as others have said - they get hot. Small soldering irons run around 16 watts. The resistor is designed for 30 (although it shoouldn't see that much).
