If everything goes well I should be taking Val on her first two day ride with a night in unfamiliar surroundings. I thought it was about time to put on the screen and leather panniers in preparation for next weeks ride. I rode Val today to pickup some components and also to do a quote on some Motorhome wiring in Northgate. :moped: :moped: :good:

It’ll be fine. Just let her know you’ll be close by when tucking her in for the night.

I just need to confirm my accomodation!

Very cool! What took you so long?
Life seems to get in the way unfortunately Darrell. I tried to get my wife Ruth to come along ( more than likely I would of ended up riding in the Outback (Subaru)) but she wouldn’t/ couldn’t take the two days off midweek. One advantage of being self employed and having a couple of dollars in the bank atm.
I cant believe this is my first overnighter since Yamba in Feb 2016.

enjoy your overnighter!! i'm preping the Mighty ST 1300 for four days away from home, leaving thursday morning
Sounds great William, as always I am sure that we will see some great photos. :good:

lol. I didn't mean to sound accusatory - just pokin' at you, Tony. I absolutely love touring on the Valk - more so than any bike I've ever owned. In the three years I've had mine, I've logged just at 28k miles. Also, I just looked at my files and see that there have been nine overnighters, three of which were over 500 miles, two over 1000 and three were over 2000 miles.

Truly, a machine that carries on Honda's fine tradition of building mile munchers. Heck, one of my Valk riding buddies (sold a '98 he put 152k miles on and bought another '97) laughed at me for checking my oil once...

I am just  Darrell.
I have only put 6K klms on Val in 2 years.
The good news is at least I have only to replace my first rear tyre after this trip.

I'm getting great mileage out of the Avon Cobras running 40/42 psi (sorry for the imperial measurements). They impressed me enough that I got another set. Toyed with the notion of darksiding it, but decided not.

Enjoy the trip!
