Seemed to good to be true, but I check out the phone # with Whitepages.com and come up clean.

Phone number shows Aberdeen/Souix Falls, South Dakota. Long way from New Haven Ct (1500+ miles) Could still be legit if owner has a cell phone from South Dakota.

Bike not listed in Aberdeen SD Craigs list. Humm???

Be very cautious, Will Rodgers.

I deal with people at work who have cell numbers from all over. With a Coast Guard and Navy base in the state, plus people moving in for the high tech jobs, out of state cell numbers are almost common.

South Dakota has 2 military bases: Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City and the South Dakota Air National Guard in Sioux City. Neither place is a hotbed of technology, so I would approach this "deal" very carefully.

The internet search machines show the phone number as a landline.

I think I have seen the same trike advertised before and the ad disappears after a couple of weeks.

The only way I would go for a deal like this is for the PO to have a clear title with his name on it and all liens released.

Am I a pessimist about "too good to be true" deals? You betcha.

I'll shut up now.
