I have seen this a few times myself that cutting out running rich at 35-4500 rpm has been the air jet for the main jet plugged up, the one under the plastic piece under the slide.
Wasn't replying to you. Should have used the reply button. 1st of all the accelerator pump is only in effect until about 1/2 throttle. 2nd you couldn't get the synch far enough out to matter at WOT. Sounds like there is not enough fuel supply, when you let off the throttle it lets it catch up...
Synch problem with the throttle wide open, NO. Accelerator pump problem NO. Someone needs lessons on how these carbs work. Is the air intake all original? Sure of the cam timing?
And the answer is no. I ordered a set to find out and didn't even have to open the box, it showed the ring thicknesses on the box and the 2nd ring was too thick so I returned them.
That is not the problem with the one I have. It for some reason doesn't allow fluid past the piston. If I put my finger over the outlet hole and pull the lever it will push fluid out but let go of the lever and the piston won't return, like I said like a plugged return hole but it's not. It is...
Well believe it or not I do know some things. The MC I mentioned is bad, it doesn't work and it is the proper bore size for the 80-81 1100s. It acts like the return hole is plugged but it's not, just something not right about it.
I have an aftermarket master cylinder that is bad, I didn't buy it so I don't know where it came from. I got it on a bike that was given to me. By what I can see in your pic it looks like that.
I have this 80 1100 I just don't need. Runs good, rides, good brakes new timing belts, new tires, stator good, exhaust is of course shot. I have lots of parts to finish putting it together, whatever I have that is needed goes with it. Make offer and I'll consider it.
