I’m thinking this might be part of the problem I’m having. The headlight wires go into this connector. Now to figure out how to clean it. I don’t want to replace it.

I’m guessing those are just extra wires then for if I want to add extra lights. I don’t have them now. I will do as you suggested, checking voltage and continuity. Thanks for your help. I’ll do an update after I’ve done those checks.

I checked for continuity at the plug. There was power to the blue wire but not the white wire. So I plugged the headlight back in and turned the ignition switch on and there was a very dim light on low and no light on high beam.

I know the headlight works. Fuse is good.

I’m not sure what the brown and loose green wire are for. Does anyone know. My headlight isn’t working.

That’s the bike I bought yesterday for $300. It’s a project but is in very good shape cosmetically. I’ve owned 14 motorcycles, this being the 14th, and have overhauled a few. My first bike I got in 1968. I haven’t had a motorcycle, until now, since 1989 when my first son was born.
