    mystery part identification help!

    I purchased my partly disassembled 'Wing along with boxes of miscellaneous parts, and have identified most of them, but I have two of these locking mechanisms that I can't figure out where they belong. Can any of you experts out there help me out? Thank you.

    Carb throttle needles- brass or aluminum

    Carburetor choke shaft free-play

    I finally got my carb kit from Randakk's and as I disassembled the carbs, everything looks good for re build, but the choke plate shafts are quite loose in the carb body. I don't think you should be able to see light between the shaft and body. :headscratch: On Randy's tech tips, it says not...

    spark plug thread repair

    After replacing valve seals and head gasket, I noticed that when I put the #2 spark plug in, that the threads were damaged. I chased them out with a tap, but I don't think the plug is secure enough. Do any of you have experience with repairing plug threads without removing the head?

    Brake rotor change over

    When I purchased my bike('81 GL 1100), the front wheel was a first generation comstar, so I ordered a good used wheel, but it didn't come with brake rotors. Can I swap the rotors from the '78-'79 rim to this '81 rim?

    air valve diaphragm help

    I was trying to clean up my carbs which have had fuel sitting in them for the last 16 years and damaged a couple air valve diaphragms. \I have tried to locate some, but was shocked to find that they are almost 60 bucks each ! Seems rather steep to me. Can anyone help...please???? Bruce
