I just came back from a run with our church and one of the members had a 2001 Honda GL1500 Valkyrie Interstate. That bike is absolutely awesome!!! :music2:

I cannot for the life of me figure out why Honda would not offer something like this again. I think it is the best of both worlds; an exposed engine without all of the plastic and the touring bags needed for a long trip on a bike that is Goldwing smooth! It has tunes, cruise control and a heater!

I could not get a picture of his bike because I did not have a camera, but here are some pics of other Valkyrie Interstates that I would consider buying in a heart beat. The black one is identical to his:

:lust: I've seen a few of these around, and agree...they do look sweet! :good: Don't know if I like the fairing so much, tho, but the rest of the bike is nice. :eek:k:

A friend of mine has a 99 Interstate. A mutual friend has a 97 basic Valk and his wife won at the Hoot in 2001 I believe and she chose a Tourer. Nice bikes all!!!!

There are only two Goldwing's i have not owned.

One is a 6cyl. Valkyrie

The other is a 6cyl. Rune Valkyrie

I am building a 4 cyl. 1200 Valkyrie,

that is when I ever get some time, I have To-many project-itis

this is what a got so far on the 4 cyl 1200 Valkyrie

I stuck a shock in the rear it will not be that way

I am going to use some Harley Puller Glide shocks under the frame to the lower part of the swing arm

I use to have a Valk before my Wing, to me that is one of the best bikes on the market. Mine had over 130,000 miles and ran like new, I miss my baby

Ok Now I know I have to many projects.

I also have 2ea 914 Porsche's

My 71' 914 is stock Yawn! maybe do a 350c.i. V8 conversion with this one Later on.

But the other 914 is a 74' that I put a Subaru 2.5L Engine, Rebuilt the trans, and completely upgraded the car to 911 parts.

the 2.5L Subaru Engine is out of a 2004' outback that had 40K miles, the engine and trans are back into the car and just needs to be wired up.

The Subaru 2.5L Engine has 180 H.P. and 180 ft lbs of torque the 914 weighs 1900 with the 2.5L Subaru engine that is in the 10-Lbs per H.P. range, good power to weight ratio.

I Love Boxer engines!!!!
