Another way to verify float height

Where can get an electric fuel pump? (probably a dumb question). I would really like to try this as I have not been able to get my floats right. Thanks for the great info.

    fairing shake

Well, I found the problem. The bolt that secures the fairing framework to the motorcycle frame was not tightened. I tightened it down and now my fairing does not move at all. Thanks for your suggestions. Lucky for me it was just caused by my own stupidity when I put this bike back together.

    fairing shake

I have noticed at highway speeds that my fairing on my 1983 GL1100i does not shake but at low speed it moves alot. Is this normal? If not what can I do to fix it?

It is being painted by a professional shop. Hopefully it will be done by the end of this week but then I need to let it cure for about a week before I can reassemble it. I will post before and after photos. Your bike looks great.

Home made adapters for connecting vacuum gauge for carb sync.

I was unable to find a way to connect my vacuum gauges for syncing the carburetors so I purchased 1/4 inch brass hose connectors and an 5mm die. I use the die to put 5mm threads on the the brass hose connector. I was able to connect my vacuum gauges along with an aquarium valve and sync my...

I have been restoring a 1983 GL1100i since November. It is to the point where the bags and fairing are out for custom painting. I'll post some pictures when I have a little more time.
