I bought an 82 Aspenade last fall that was stored in a barn for a couple of years but is in pretty good condition. Currently I'm having issues with the front air system in which I can air the shocks up but after a few minutes it deflates. I've looked and haven't been able to find any leaks around the fittings or compressor. It also leaks a little oil around the fork seals. Is it correct to think that the fork seals are cause for the air leak.

That`s probably where it is coming from, You can run a seal mate around the seal and see if it stops, That`s what I did with mine and it worked but not all leaks are going to be caused debris or a turned lip, sometimes you need to replace them.

Had the same issue with same model, same year. Just replaced the fork seals last night. Haven't had a chance to ride it because of the non-stop rain here, but it held pressure overnight which is a good sign!
