I'm still pretty much a total newb with the 'Wing and honestly have never had much of a knack for carburetor work but, the way I figure, I'll only learn by doing. That said I don't want to experiment on my only set, and I don't have the bread to pay even the eBay prices for an old set...but my goal is to get an old set and an overhaul kit. The idea would be that I could clean and assemble 'em, and do all the learning with the confidence that my old set is always there to save me if I screw up.
...so the question.
Does anyone know a good source or trick for finding dirt cheap old carbs in need of overhaul?

Pm your mailing address and I'll get them packed up and get shipping cost. You can send check or use paypal.

Sounds like an awesome resource, I definitely love doing heavy reading before making a move. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Got them shipped out today. I know you wanted cheap busted up. Sorry to disappoint. They are entirely complete although dirty and dusty. Linkage is froze up. Once cleaned up and adjusted they should serve an 1100 very nicely. Sorry it took so long. Health issues and schedule slowed the process.
