I've installed a voltmeter on the right handlebar to monitor the voltage on the accessory screws that are powering my C5 ignition and the electric choke on the VW carb while running at highway speeds.
It stays pretty steady at around 13.25v at the terminal screws (drops to 13 when I hit the brake light), and around 14.5 at the battery. Is this a safe output for the ignition and coils or should I add a resistor in there to get it down to 12v?
