How come I never is a GW with crash bars or road bars . I've heard them called both. I know they have engine guards but crash bars wouldn't let it go down as far if you did drop it.
 
I think those forward style highway bars like Harley's have just never caught on.
I have seen them on ebay but they are rare.

I've thought of making up a set, being tall I could use extra leg room for stretching out.
 
I scrape the hiway pegs on mine as it is, and they are mounted at the very front on the lower engine guard. Seems like if you used a larger, wider "Crash guard", it would scrape even easier. If the outer edges of it were curved up enough to keep from scrapping, then they wouldn't really be too much help if you laid it over, as far as being able to get it back up. Ida no.... :headscratch:
 
wonder if these would work they angle up
