Got a clutch slave cylinder rebuild kit and a 8mmx1.25 Speedbleeder (and a speed bleeder hose and bag).

Pulled off the slave cylinder and it looked ok but took it apart and washed it, and all the parts in Tide and water with a Scrunge and a brush, boy there was some stuff in it that looked like 140 wt hydraulic oil! Kept oil in the system by using a 2" c clamp on the hose above the banjo. Got them clean enough to look at and saw some stuff that wouldn't clean off but a screwdriver was able to remove it, scrunged the cylinder and started on the piston. Got it pretty clean and got the seal ring and the push-rod seal out, cleaned it more. Put seals in the piston... be very careful with the piston seal. Reassembled with DOT4 as lube, being very careful with the piston seal.

Put it back on tightened all the 8mm bolts attached the banjo, took off the MC cap, hooked up the bleed bag and loosened the Speedbleeder and pumped some through until the Speedbleeder bag was showing good flow. Tightened the Speedbleeder, filled up the MC and closed it, did the MC bleed twice and it all worked.

Started the bike, put it in 1st and lo and behold no fighting back when trying to back the bike while in 1st with the clutch held in.
