88 & 89 had first years bugs as in many first years of anything do. 97 on had better transmissions, my 91 has 140+ thousand, & runs great. 1200s, & 1500s are both great scooters.1500s are much more complicated!!! :builder:
My stable is about complete; two 84 standards, 87 interstate, & 91 Aspencade, so can do tires, brakes, fluid changes, etc, take your time, not rush, & not be without a like type bike. :good: Now just looking for a 1100 to convert to a 1200 with front end, motor, & swing arm back, with 1500 wheel & drive unit. Use a better double bearing drive side wheel, & it's 1 inch bigger 1/2 inch taller, more top end. Have all for mentioned parts, as didn't think I would ever find another 84 standard, but found one last spring, 1100s shelters were separate from fairing, & everything else can be made to fit, so wait for a good candidate to arrive & enjoy what i've got now. :yes: :moped:
